Windows is a graphical interface to DOS. It is the most sold operating system in the history of computers. Our system is a text interface to DOS. We use Windows icons to get to our system just like any other Windows application. All Windows applications (user programs) are in one form or another, DOS based programs!

Microsoft created Windows in the 1980's and has upgraded the system from Windows 3.00 to Windows-XP which is the best operating system the average user has ever had. It is unbelievable how much it cost to develop and how much money it has made.

We at Computer Golf have worked very hard just to keep up with what has been done by the continious development of this operating system. When Windows-XP came out, we had to modify over 100 of our programs to run with it.

We developed our software in 1985 and have been upgrading on a continuing basis ever since then. Our system was written as a data processing system to handle high volume transactions and the unique requiements of the golf business.

The advantages of a Windows (DOS) based system are many as are the advantages of a Linux based system. You as a customer must decide which is right for you. At CGMS, our main interest is a satisfied customer. Our goal was to produce a system that never crashes. We have done so, can't say the same for Windows altho Windows_XP is pretty close!.
