Following are our customer support policies:

We provide telephone support to our customers. Our support is mainly for products we supply such as our software and any hardware we sell to our customers. We will also try to help with problems that you may have with hardware and software you bought from other parties.

Most of our calls are for help with networking problems, usually from computers you bought locally. We are happy to help when we can because we get these calls all the time and know what to do. We even get calls from your local computer store guys and that is fine too.

We offer free support for the first season you have our system. We define season as Jan 1 to Dec 31 of each year. If some one buys our system late in the year we usually give the next year free.

We have learned that the longer a customer has our system the fewer trouble calls we get. We have decided to adjust our price to refelect this. Our support has always been $300.00 per year for every one. This bought a year of support and updates to the system.

Our new price is as follows:

First five seasons support and updates are $240.00 per season.

After five seasons support and updates are $120.00 per season.

This is like having your own computer staff for 10 or 20 bucks per month. Not bad when the average computer programmer makes $6000.00 per month.

Updates posted on-line (this page) are for changes and fixes we consider too important to wait until the next formal update cycle. To apply these updates select the download you want. The system will ask if you want to save to disk or open and you should select save to disk. After the download it will ask if you want to open or close. Select close.

The updates will be downloaded into your download folder. You can use windows explorer to copy and paste into our directory C:\VSMEXE. You can also copy these updates to diskette if you get them on your home computer.

The current updates are NEWPOS.EXE which is the daily sales program. The corrections have to do with multi tender. I worked on this with Dale Newell From Helena Montana, Thanks Dale. The other current update is a report program, ISMTDP.EXE which is the daily transaction report. The fixes have to do with correcting totals at end of day. ISMTMP.EXE is the monthly transaction report with the same fixes as the end of day.One more update is ISMHFD.EXE which has a feature to turn off the wait at Point of Sale after the receipt is printed, Thanks to Pat Akin of Medford Oregon.
