Build a great golf swing, new from Salt Lake City

In 1985 our company created a group of text based computer programs to help manage a golf proshop or a country club point of sale network. Many of our customers are still running the systems they bought from us then. We may be only one of several companies in the world whose software is still very useful after that many years.

We got started about the time Microsoft started to develop Windows and we are both still going strong. There will always be a market for software that does a job quickly, accurately, and never crashes. Our software which includes the point of sale, credit book, member billing, inventory , and many golf programs now sells for only $395.00. This is a nice alternative to the complicated and expensive systems offered by other companies.

SOME OPTIONS:

There are basically three type of systems.
1. Networked multi computer systems using Windows networking.(Recomended as best by CGMS)
2. A single computer single user system.
3. A Linux system (for expert users).

Here is what we recomend for a multi user retail pos data processing system.
The typical system has a computer in the back office and a computer at each point of sale system.
Any low cost computer that will run Windows 98, Windows xp, or Windows Vista will work with our system. You must have a flopply drive, cd drive, a serial port, a parallel printer port, a 10/100 network card, a standard non usb keyboard, and a usb port. We do not recoment hooking your POS network to the internet because of the virus/spyware threat unless you have a good router and anti virus software.
For the back office we recomend two printers, an OKI DATA 320 printer hooked to the parallel port for a report printer to print end of day, customer billing and such..
We recomend a laser jet or deskjet hooked to the usb port for barcode lables and letters and etc.
For point of sale at the counter we recomend the same computer as the back office with a cash drawer, receipt printer and barcode scanner which we sell as they must be compatible with our system. Feel fre to call for assistance.

Here is what we recomend for s single user system.
Any low cost computer that will run Windows 98 or Windows xp . You must have a flopply drive, cd drive, a serial port, a parallel printer port, a 10/100 network card, a standard non usb keyboard, and a usb port.
With a single user system, your capabilities are limited because your resourses are limited. You will need a desk jet or laser printer hooked to the usb port and a cash drawer and receipt printer hooked to the parallel printer port and a barcode reader hooked to the keyboard port.

If you are looking for a neat text based system with many features, we urge you to read our text, then give us a call or send us an e_mail.

**** Best way to get a Point of Sale System Using Windows ***

Computers have gotten very inexpensive. You can go to many retail stores such as Office Depot, Staples, Comp USA or others and buy an "E" machine with a monitor and a printer for about $700.00 or less. You can also use the services of local computer stores. These systems will run our software just fine. You can buy a cash drawer, receipt printer, barcode scanner and software from us for $1295.00. So for under $2000.00 you have a single user POS as well as a full computer system with internet,e_mail, word processing and many other functions. If you want a networked multi user system just buy another "E" machine, a network hub and some cables you have a full networked system. You still have not spent $3000.00.

**** Best way to get a Point of Sale System using Linux****

Give us a call. There are so many options that we will have to talk. Linux is still not quite main stream and a lot of people are comfortable with their Windows skills. We love Linux and know its is just a matter of time until Linux is considered a standard operating system.
